NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICER'S SWORD KNOT

A non-commissioned officer's sword knot is worn only with an non-commissioned officer's sword.  

A non-commissioned officer's sword is always worn with a sword knot regardless of the ceremonial uniform. The sword knot is wrapped around the handle of the sword in such a way that the tassel remains hanging but does not interfere with the use of the sword.

The sword knot consists of a silver ribbon and a tassel which is made of the same colored cord. The ribbon is decorated with black longitudinal stripes. The tassel is basket-worked type with black cord woven into it.
